Our Box Office and foyer are situated at street level. The Stalls seating is accessible down a flight of 23 steps. Our Dress Circle seating has the easier access, being on foyer level and can provide up to 2 wheelchair spaces per performance. Seats in front of these spaces can be moved forward to accommodate longer chairs and small scooters – please provide measurements of chairs and scooters at time of booking to enable Box Office Staff to advise you correctly.

The Harold Pinter Theatre auditorium is equipped with Sennheiser MobileConnect WiFi sound amplification system. MobileConnect uses WiFi to deliver superior quality audio to a smart device such as an iPod or iPhone, either through headphones or via a necklace for hearing aid users. Devices can be booked via the box office in advance, borrowed on the day, or alternatively patrons can download the Sennheiser MobileConnect app and use their own device.

Guide, hearing and other working dogs are welcome in all parts of the theatre.

Ladies and Gents toilets are located down 23 steps from the foyer to Stalls level, up 23 steps from foyer to Royal Circle and up 49 steps from foyer to Balcony level. Our Royal Retiring Room toilet is located 6 steps down from foyer level for patrons who are able to manage some steps. There is one handrail. Alternatively, for patrons with limited mobility, Access toilet located in the main foyer.

Novelist Charles Condomine and his second wife Ruth are literally haunted by a past relationship when an eccentric medium – Madame Arcati – inadvertently conjures up the ghost of his first wife, Elvira, at a séance. When she appears, visible only to Charles, and determined to sabotage his current marriage, life – and the afterlife – get complicated.

Lisa Dillon (Ruth) is best known for her role as Mary Smith in BBC 1’s CranfordGeoffrey Streatfeild’s credits include SpooksThe Thick of ItTraitors and the Histories Cycle at the RSC. Madeleine Mantock (Elvira) recently played Macy Vaughn in CBS studios series Charmed and Miss Clara in the BBC’s The Long Song.

Richard Eyre, director of the National Theatre for ten years, is the winner of five Olivier Awards, including a Lifetime Achievement Award. Designer Anthony Ward’s numerous productions include Tony Award winning Mary Stuart and Olivier Award winning Oklahoma!
